چکیده

We report the discovery of two short-period massive giant planets from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). Both systems, TOI-558 (TIC 207110080) and TOI-559 209459275), were identified 30-minute cadence Full Frame Images confirmed using ground-based photometric spectroscopic follow-up observations TESS's Follow-up Observing Program Working Group. find that b, which transits an F-dwarf ($M_{*}=1.349^{+0.064}_{-0.065}\ M_{\odot}$, $R_{*}=1.496^{+0.042}_{-0.040}\ R_{\odot}$, $T_{eff}=6466^{+95}_{-93}\ K$, age $1.79^{+0.91}_{-0.73}\ Gyr$) with orbital period 14.574 days, has a mass $3.61\pm0.15\ M_{\rm J}$, radius $1.086^{+0.041}_{-0.038}\ R_{\rm eccentric (e=$0.300^{+0.022}_{-0.020}$) orbit. b G-dwarf ($M_{*}=1.026\pm0.057\ $R_{*}=1.233^{+0.028}_{-0.026}\ $T_{eff}=5925^{+85}_{-76}\ $6.8^{+2.5}_{-2.0}\ in (e=$0.151\pm0.011$) 6.984-day orbit $6.01^{+0.24}_{-0.23}\ J}$ $1.091^{+0.028}_{-0.025}\ J}$. Our also reveals long-term radial velocity trend for TOI-559, indicating long-period companion. The statistically significant eccentricity measured each system suggests these migrated to their current location through dynamical interactions. Interestingly, both are ($>3\ J}$), adding population by TESS. Prompted new detections high-mass planets, we analyzed known distribution hot warm Jupiters but no evidence multiple populations. TESS should provide near magnitude-limited sample transiting Jupiters, allowing future detailed studies.

Two New Candidate Planets in Eccentric Orbits

Doppler measurements of two G–type main–sequence stars, HD210277 and HD168443, reveal Keplerian variations that imply the presence of companions with masses (M sin i ) of 1.28 and 5.04 MJUP and orbital periods of 437 d and 58 d, respectively. The orbits have large eccentricities of e=0.45 and e=0.54, respectively. All 9 known extrasolar planet candidates with a=0.2–2.5 AU have orbital eccentric...

Tidal evolution of eccentric orbits in massive binary systems

We study the tidal evolution of a binary system consisting of a 1.4M⊙ compact object in elliptic orbit about a 10M⊙ uniformly rotating main sequence (MS) star for various values of the initial orbital parameters. We apply our previously published results of 2D non-adiabatic calculations of the non-radial gand r-mode oscillations of the uniformly rotating MS star, and include the effects of reso...

Fuzzy Sliding Mode for Spacecraft Formation Control in Eccentric Orbits

The problem of relative motion control for spacecraft formation flying in eccentric orbits is considered in this paper. Due to the presence of nonlinear dynamics and external disturbances, a robust fuzzy sliding mode controller is developed. The slopes of sliding surfaces of the conventional sliding mode controller are tuned according to error states using a fuzzy logic and reach the pre-define...

Gravitational wave background from coalescing compact stars in eccentric orbits

Stochastic gravitational wave background produced by a stationary coalescing population of binary neutron stars in the Galaxy is calculated. This background is found to constitute a confusion limit within the LISA frequency band up to a limiting frequency νlim ∼ 10 −3 Hz, leaving the frequency window ∼ 10–10 Hz open for the potential detection of cosmological stochastic gravitational waves and ...
